Olympus Stylus 1050SW 10.1MP Digital Camera

Although different digital cameras may utilize touch screens in order to access settings, the recently launched Olympus Stylus 1050 SW features a body engineered to be immume to shock, water and freezing, yet responsive to touch throughout.

Instead of having to access typical menu options with buttons to push, with the Stylus 1050 SW it’s as simple and quick as a touch virtually anywhere on the camera. This durable 10.1-megapixel model is developed to withstand wear and tear, ensuring that your precious photographic moments are safeguarded. Conditions that would destroy the majority of digital cameras – blizzards, accidental drops, even a dip in a pool – are no match for this model.

Another feature is the streamlined, lens-guarding faceplate that slides downward, switching the camera into on mode and exposing the lens instantly to let you get your shot.

What others are saying:

‘The Camera I Wish I’d Bought Sooner’
As a point-and-shoot type camera, this Olympus Stylus 1050SW really goes above and beyond expectations. Even without going over the instruction guide that came with it I was able to figure out how to use it with a little experimentation. I love all the features like preset image settings and terrific panoramic option (especially the combine in camera 1 mode)! Not to mention the fact that this camera is waterproof, which is one of its main selling-points. We really appreciated this feature on our recent Bahamas honeymoon, where we got to really put it to the test and ended up being able to capture unforgettable images that wouldn’t have been possible without this camera.

‘Great camera for outdoors and a beginner’
I recently bought my boyfriend the Olympus Stylus 1050SW to replace his bulky camera that was impractical for the daily activities he does like fishing, surfing, and other outdoor things. He read some of the reviews of the camera and when he gave it a try loved it! One of the best features of this camera for him is that it’s waterproof – a fact that came in handy last weekend when he accidently dropped it into the ocean. We fished it out and it worked just fine!

‘Durable Camera Made for Real Life’
I just love using my new camera, the Olympus 1050. The camera is lightweight and fits into my pocket. Often I wear it around my neck so I can have both hands free. It’s a great camera; there is only one aspect of the camera that I do not care for – it uses batteries very quickly. I’m not sure why, but it seems to use more battery life when I set it on close-ups. I have an extra battery so it’s not a huge problem. I’m not sure how it withstands being dropped, or use during snowy conditions.
